Starting Off Our 2011 would only be fitting to be documenting Skate Standard/ Vox Footwear/ Sector 9 Skateboards Rider and San Diego Homey, 11 yr-old MR.CORY JUNEAU entering The First Ever Vans Combi AM Contest!!!! All The Ams Sk8'ing were Straight Ripping All Day and Night in Orange County, Ca.'s Vans Combi Bowl, January 29th thru the 30th! But Our Favorite and Top Qualifier CORY was definitely throwing down HUGE Airs, Stylish Grinds, Long Boardslides not to Mention Took The HARDEST SLAM out of ALL The AMS!!!! CORY doesn't Slow Down One bit and Gives it his ALL to Air The Highest, Grind The longest and Slide The Farthest...No Matter What ....and Sometimes He PAYS IN BLOOD & TEARS!!!! But CORY Always Gets Up!!!!.....And Earned his way to Fourth Place!!!! WAY TO GO KID!!!! Here's some of The Pics of CORY'S SHREDDING!!!! Hey PUSHER'S of The STUNTWOOD!!!! We at Skate Standard thought it was time to ADD a New Side to Our existing Blog with MORE incite and MORE footage of Our Subjects!!!! As for The EC(El Cajon)-13 Crew(Tommy, Libby, Mike Garcia, Jacob, Mark, Fred, Strickland, Dave Anderson to name a few!) These OG's have been Killing not only The East County of San Diego Scene since The Early Eighties but with affiliations from just about Every Major Skateboard Company known Today and Through out The Friggin' US of A!!!! Str8 On The Map, FOOLS!!!! But This is About Mark and We'll get to The EC-13 Crew and Coronado Sk8 Sessions in The Future!!!! By The Way, Mark put The Coronado Sessions & BBq's All Together!!!!
We've wanted to do a Blog about Mark Because His Life of Skateboarding has brought him into The Full Circle of Our Culture and Dedication of Shredding!!!! Since his Z-Boy days He went on to help build Ultra Successful Tum Yeto's FOUNDATION SKATEBOARDS with Todd Swank and worked At LEGENDARY ZORLAC Skateboards, HUMAN Skateboards etc. We finally got the opportunity(after Bugging My man for a couple of weeks! Hehe..:)to meet up and cruise Kennedy Sk8 Park!!!!! But First We pull up to Mark's Place and BAM! DM Printing Shop is in Full Effect(Mark owns & operates his business DM Printing)!!!!

Fellow Skateboarder and Friend, Pastor David Harrison of Cornerstone Church invited SMA/Paradox Grip/Remind Insoles/Vox Footwear's Rider Cory Juneau to Sk8 The Demo They hosted this past Tuesday, June 29th 2010!!!! The Skateboarding Demo was on a VERY Tight Tranny'd Mobile Halfpipe but CJ Found his line!!!! Check out The Footage:

A week ago I had spoke with Friend and Fellow Skateboarder FRED OLANDE( Z-Boy, H-Street,New Deal) of Imperial Beach, Ca. about hangin' out and BBQ'n @his House with him and his Fam. For All Those that know of Fred, DUDE RIIPPS!!!! Whether it's Parks, Ramps, Street or The Party, Fred's a TRUE PRO..PERIOD!!!! In The Late Eighties, early Nineties You could see Ads of Mr. Olande Shredding in everything from Thrasher to Skateboarder! A True San Diego Vert Skating Pioneer, Fred Skated for many companies and had The Only Vert Ramp in South San Diego with Peter Hewitt(Anti-Hero, Nike), Alphonso Rawls(Expedition One, Airwalk) and Danny Way(Plan B, DC) his closest Skate Homies!!!! It's probably why Shout outs from Mike Carroll(Girl, Lakai) or Sal Barbier (SLB, Etnies) are the norm now! If you EVER get the chance to see Fred Skate then You'll know what we mean! This past Saturday at Ecke YMCA Skatepark in Encinitas, Ca. Alliance Of Action Sports(Alli) hosted The GATORADE Free Flow Tour June 13th, 2010!!!! The Events were The Vert Ramp, The Street Park & Street Open All for chances to place and go on to The DEW Tour in Salt Lake City, Utah for The Big Prize Money!!!! I also took this opportunity to Promote The Vox Footwear / SKATE STANDARD Rider's to The Fullest!!!! Here's a few Shots of How this AWESOME Contest went down!!!
